In summer, I usually go abroad. Whenever I travel overseas, I use most of my budget on accommodation, food and transportation. For budget travelers in Korea and people in Gwangju and Jolla province, the RAILRO (내일로) Railway Pass is probably the best way to get around Jolla Province.
The RAILRO Railway Pass allows you to board any train anytime within 7 days. Simply, flash your pass before entering the platform area and select whatever seat you want. One thing, this is a standing ticket only so please be prepared to give up your seat to someone carrying a ticket with a seat number on it.
Ticket price: 54,700 won
Who: People aged 19~25 (international age, not Korean age)
When : Now until 31 of August 10, 2010
Where : Anywhere you can purchase train tickets.
How : You have to contact the Gwangju or the Naju train station. You should try to visit 5 days prior to the departure date.
Ticket Validity : A maximum of 7days.
Before you purchase the ticket, you have to decide where you want to visit. If you want to visit and get around Gwangju and Jolla province, you’d best buy your ticket from Gwangju or Naju station.

This is what you get if you buy tickets from Gwangju or Naju station.
1. With this ticket, a one night stay in Goksung and Naju is free at a special dormitory. Up to 15 people can use this dormitory, so you need to make a reservation before you visit.
2. Or, you can stay one night in at the Valencia Motel in Sangmu district in Gwagnju for 20,000 won. This is a savings of 15,000 won.
3. 20% off at the Lotte Outlet Worldcup stadium branch.
4. 50% off the Sumjin River steam locomotive
5. 50% off the Goksung Rail Bike Track
