Gwangju is fortunate to have its very English Language radio station. Now we’ve mentioned a number of shows on the station before, but there is one we haven’t talked about, until now. It’s called Mtown and airs from 8pm-10pm everyday of the week. The show plays the latest non-mainstream music and host Pete Ross tries to keep the listeners entertained with regular guests and his own ‘unique, witty’ banter. The music policy of the show is perhaps its main selling point of the show and could be the reason that show has scooped some very special prizes to give away. From tonight (7^th July) and again on Monday 12^th and Tuesday 13^th, Mtown will be giving away tickets to the Pentaport Music Festival taking place near Incheon on the 23^rd/24^th/25^th of July.

If you haven’t heard of Pentaport, it has been running for 11 years and is one of two internationally established music festivals that take place in Korea. This year its line up boasts LCD Soundsystem, Hoobastank, Ian Brown and the Stereophonics along with others form both abroad and here in Korea. It promises to be a great weekend and the opportunity to win a pair of tickets is surely something you would want to pass up.
