Bluegrass is a completely unexpected style of music to find in Gwangju but it does exist and there is a growing community of Koreans who love this music. This Saturday 5pm at the Gwangju Community Media Center will be the 2011 Gwangju Blue Grass Festival. This event is not a mere one-off but has been running over the past few years every September.

Here is a look at the schedule for the evening. All the talent are dedicated local artists with a love for Bluegrass. Songs will be performed in English with some originals in Korean. In addition to the Bluegrass the Enzian Yodel Club will be performing as well.
